Kent Secondary Swimming Relay Championships

A move back to the pool at Medway Park, Gillingham, for the first time in many years for this event was a big bonus. Unfortunately, we were only able to field one team this year, in the Intermediate event, with all but one of our Senior Team having left the school. We had three familiar faces and one new swimmer taking part - George Goodwin (10K), Jacob Barker (9O), Justin Chenu (9L) joined forces again and Finn Bannister (10N) was a very welcome addition to the team. They swam very well in both the Medley Relay and Freestyle and came a very creditable fourth in both events. Unfortunately, this wasn’t sufficient to progress to the finals but is good practice for the future. We are looking forward to the Kent Secondary Individual Events which will take place in January 2024 when we will hopefully be joined by our Senior and Junior swimmers too. A big thank you as always to the boys for being such a pleasure and their parents for bringing them. JLW
