These mornings are bookable events. They are aimed primarily at Year 6 students who have sat / passed the Kent test and will be seeking a school place for September 2027. A booking can be made via the following link:

Please note that Kent Assessment decisions will be sent to parents email addresses after 4pm on Thursday 15th October 2026. The deadline for submissions of Secondary Application forms to the local authority is 2nd November 2026.
Open mornings are an opportunity to visit Gravesend Grammar School in order to help inform decisions about potential applications for a place
Visitors will be taken on a guided tour of the school by members of the existing student body, where they will be able to witness teaching and learning happening as it does on every other day of the year. Open mornings are also an opportunity to sample the atmosphere, as well as view the facilities the school has to offer . At the culmination of the tour there will be an address by the Head Teacher and Admissions Manager outlining the ethos and what parents should expect if they choose to send their sons to Gravesend Grammar School in year 7.
Throughout the morning staff will be available to answer any questions about the school or specific situations relating to your sons’, including the admissions process.
We would be delighted for year 11 students, and their parents to join us for our Sixth Form open evening.

You will be able to find out more about the A Level subjects you are interested in, speak to current students, subject leaders, the Sixth form team and careers guidance professionals. There will be a talk in the main hall from the Head Teacher and the Head of Sixth form, individual subject talks will take place throughout the evening.
