At GGS we offer students a huge range of extra-curricular clubs, activities and societies. These take place before school, at lunchtimes, after school and in some cases at the weekends and in the holidays. We endeavour to ensure that there is something for everyone, regardless of any previous experience. We strongly encourage all of our students to participate in activities outside of lessons, whether it is something they are already skilled in or it is something new that they can try.
Being involved in a range of activities that challenge students outside of their taught academic curriculum provides opportunities for working as part of a team, gaining new skills and taking on greater responsibility through leadership roles. We believe it is a crucial part of the overall experience in being at GGS and plays a large part in the personal development of the students. Making the most of the extracurricular opportunities is a significant factor that helps to develop the well-rounded young people who will leave us, with happy memories, to go on to lead successful interesting lives.
