We are so proud of our Girls’ Rugby Squad—who caused a huge headache leading up to the Rosslyn Park Schools 7s, due to the fact that we could only take a squad of 12. Captain Anesu Gombiro has rallied a squad of 21 players, who have regularly trained and played this year. These girls had never played the game before coming to the School and we have now competed twice at the largest rugby festival in the world. The most notable game at Rosslyn Park was the final pool game against Campion which saw Gombiru score a heroic Captain’s try to win the game. We hope that the Year 13s who are leaving is this year have enjoyed the Rugby experiences they have had and they continue to enjoy the game in whatever capacity.
