Last year, a group of our Sixth Form students took part in an exciting community project exploring the future of mental healthcare. Working alongside researchers from the University of Kent, they contributed to the INTERACT project—an initiative designed to amplify the voices of people who are often underrepresented in conversations about mental health services. Our students played a key role in the study, sharing their thoughts and experiences in a way that ensured their voices were heard whilst maintaining anonymity through the use of aliases. Their contributions helped shape an insightful podcast audio documentary, where young voices from ethnic minority communities in Kent discuss mental health challenges and the future of NHS mental health services. We are incredibly proud of our students for their involvement in this important project, which has helped raise awareness and spark meaningful discussions about mental health. SET
