PHSE On Wednesday 4th the Sixth Form had a PSHE day, where we learned necessary skills to protect ourselves and gain an enriched understanding of the world around us. We completed workshops on Gambling Awareness, First Aid, Drug Awareness and Sexual Health, all of which are vital to people our age.
These courses gave us useful information such as the unknown side effects of common drugs today, namely Ketamine, learning to recognise medical conditions and how to act when presented with one such condition. It has been a common complaint among students that schools do not prepare students for the real world, for what’s next or even what is happening to them right now; the PSHE day combatted this well, educating us on events that happen to people our age or people in our lives. This enriching experience I am sure aided everyone who attended.
