Over the past few years GGS students have had unprecedented success in Golf—with Lucas Dennison captaining England Schools, Oliver Lewis-Perkins continuing to excel on a golf scholarship in America and the School winning the Kent Schools team championship twice over the last decade, cementing our students into the higher echelons of the golfing fraternity.
We were delighted that Justin Chenu (10L) qualified for the County Cham pion of Champions on 13th and 14th of September. He won the Kent Champion ships in the summer Under 18s winning by 13 shots against the rest of the field shooting 6 under par and 3 under par on the two rounds he played in the scorching hot weather. He also got the course record at Hever Castle golf course that day for any adult or junior. He also qualified in first place in the Order of Merit for the whole of England under 18s for the Justin Rose telegraph competition in Portugal, 7th to 12th December.
We all wish Justin the best of luck in his future competitions.
