Port of London Authority - Thames Fisheries Competition

Port of London Authority - Thames Fisheries Competition

Once again, we have won the Port of London Authority Fishing Competition. The objective of the experiment is to establish the environmental conditions of the Thames through determining the number and size of fish species returning to the river. This year eleven teams with 64 anglers and 11 younger anglers spent four hours fishing along the foreshore and the species and size of each catch was recorded.

Our team comprising Thomas Widdows 10M, Will Fry 10L, Justin Chenu 10L and Lucas Roberts 10K had an exceptional day. They won:

The PLA School’s Trophy - Best youth team

The Reg Butcher Cup (biggest fish caught in the Youth competition) - Lucas Roberts

The Best Individual Youth Angler (most points in the Youth competition) - Lucas Roberts
