On Tuesday 2nd July, a number of Year 7 to Year 10 students represented the School at the District Athletics Competition held at Dartford Harriers Athletics Track within Dartford Central Park. A wide number of schools competed, including rivals such as Dartford Grammar School and NTC, our neighbours St John’s and other schools such as Longfield, Meopham and St George’s. The students represented the School well, with a number of them competing in multiple events throughout the day. Particularly strong performances were put in by: Sidney Gurney—2nd within the 1500m race for Year 9s, and 3rd overall in a race that contained the Year 10 competitors too! Harry Stone—2nd place in the Year 9 Javelin with a new PB of over 27m! Johnson Lay—2nd place in the Year 9 300m race Ted Regan—2nd place in the Year 9 800m race Year 9 Relay—2nd in their heat to qualify for the Final, which was unfortunately cancelled due to heavy rain!
