Mission Statement

Science is a process not just a collection of facts. We wish our students to develop mastery of a demanding knowledge based curriculum across the sciences, not limited by the confines of GCSE and A level specifications and examinations. Students will develop high level practical techniques and detailed understanding of the scientific method across Biology, Chemistry and Physics discipline. As students progress through the key stages our curriculum will embrace the deviation of content between the three science disciplines whilst maintaining the commonality of the scientific method. We aim to equip them to investigate, question, challenge and advance the world around them and help to advance the world of the future. We wish to engage their imagination and curiosity through the use of purposeful practical work and contextual problem solving so that the questions themselves become more interesting than getting the correct answer.

Science is the best subject. We get to carry out experiments and use laboratory equipment. I love learning about how living organisms work, why things move and all the different types of chemical reactions. Its great fun!!
