Mission Statement

The aim of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is to help pupils develop the knowledge, skill and attributes they need to manage their lives and make the most of life's opportunities. We hope to reduce cognitive dissonance by equipping students with the knowledge of how to control their desires and ensure positive healthy decisions in line with their life goals.

PSHE is taught through a thematic approach which offers learning opportunities in the four core GGS Pillars - Friendship, Respect, Exploration and Hardwork.  This enables us to incorporate the school values into every lesson and provides opportunities for students to reflect on and promote their personal development.

The curriculum is adapted to the schools changing needs as well as local and national priorities so that it reflects the everchanging community we live in.

We aim to tackle,  in an age-appropriate manner, social and societal issues so that pupils leaving GGS are well rounded open-minded, compassionate and caring individuals.
