Physics is a process not just a collection of facts. We wish our students to develop mastery of a content rich, extensive and demanding curriculum, not purely limited by the confines of GCSE and A level specifications and examinations. Students will leave with a comprehensive understanding of physical processes and their role in governing the whole Universe. They will develop high level mathematical problem solving techniques, a deep knowledge of key concepts, high level practical skills and techniques and detailed understanding of the scientific method.
As students progress through the key stages, our curriculum will embrace the physical concepts and approaches that make the subject differ from the other scientific disciplines whilst still recognising essential commonality. We aim to equip them to investigate, question, challenge and improve the world around them and help to advance the world of the future. We wish to engage their imagination and curiosity through the use of purposeful practical work and contextual problem solving so that the questions themselves become more interesting than getting the correct answer.
Science is the best subject. We get to carry out experiments and use laboratory equipment. I love learning about how living organisms work, why things move and all the different types of chemical reactions. Its great fun!!
