A Season of High-Calibre Competition and Outstanding Commitment The Gravesend Grammar Badminton teams continue a demanding season, and while the raw statistics only tell one part of the story, their true performance has been nothing short of outstanding! Our students demonstrated exceptional commitment, skill, and resilience in every match, competing at a level that truly challenges them.

Boys’ Team: Rising to the Challenge

The Boys' team embraced a challenging fixture list, competing in three distinct competitions (T3) and playing a total of nine highly competitive games. Why the Results Don't Tell the Whole Story: The 33% win rate is highly commendable given the calibre of the opposition. Our losses were predominantly narrow defeats against some of the strongest badminton schools in the region. Every game was a fiercely contested battle, and securing three victories against such high-level opponents is a testament to the boys' hard work and strategic play. Their performance shows a remarkable willingness to step onto the court against the best, an attribute far more valuable than a perfect record against weaker teams.

Girls’ Team: Building for the Future

The Girls' team had a single competitive fixture this season (P1, L1). A Crucial Start: While the results show a loss, the experience gained from this single match is invaluable. It provided crucial competitive exposure, helping the players understand match pressure and strategic doubles and singles play. This fixture marks a vital foundation for the development of our Girls' team, and we look forward to seeing their growth next season! Recognition of Excellence
