The Snowman Cometh: A Holiday Adventure for Your Home Table!

A huge thank you to all members who have attended our D&D sessions this term. Your enthusiasm is the driving force of our club. A special shout-out goes to our amazing Dungeon Masters whose creativity and effort make our adventures possible.

With the holidays approaching, we wanted to highlight a festive, familyfriendly adventure that’s perfect for a quick game: "The Snowman Cometh!" This short module is a fantastic idea to trial at home with your family and friends. It's designed for four 3rd-level characters, making it an excellent, low-commitment way to introduce loved ones to the magic of D&D. (Full story and sample characters are easy to find online)

Campaign Summary: Saving Yuletide The Father of Yuletide, Klaus the Kindhearted, is away delivering gifts. In his absence, the evil Snowman is attempting to extinguish the magical flame in Klaus’s furnace, which acts as his beacon home. If the flame goes out, the world will be plunged into an eternal blizzard and Klaus will be lost to wander the Astral Plane forever! Your heroes are summoned to the north to brave a magical snow storm and defend Klaus’s ornate cabin. There, you’ll meet his wife, Kora, who needs immediate assistance. You must fight waves of Frozen Golems as they attempt to break into the house and snuff out the light. Cold, and hard-pressed, your party retreats to the basement for a final stand by the furnace, which grants temporary hit points to friends of Klaus. The ultimate confrontation is against the terrifying Snowman himself, a monstrous foe with deadly wooden claws and a devastating Winter’s Breath attack. Defeat him to melt his icy heart and earn your heroes well-deserved, festive rewards from a grateful Klaus!

If you're looking for a quick, exciting quest that captures the spirit of the season, "The Snowman Cometh!" is a fantastic choice. Happy adventuring, and we’ll see you in the New Year. The club runs on Thursday evenings in Room 211 and adjacent rooms. JEP
