Independent Catering provide our students with fresh and fabulous food: before school for breakfast, at break time, lunch time and for other school events. A wide choice of main meals, lighter lunches, sandwiches and salads are available every day, with a strong emphasis on foods that are popular yet nutritious. Fruit and yoghurts feature alongside the traditional puddings of the day. Members of staff join the students in the same dining areas with the same choice of menus. Independent have a team of passionate skilled chefs, who provide a service at GGS and over 90 other schools in Kent, Surrey and Sussex - cooking tens of thousands of meals a day!
At GGS students are welcome to purchase food before school, at break time and lunch time in the Pavillion cafeteria and the snack van, located in the plaza. The 6th form cafe, exclusively for year 12 & year 13 students is located in the Sanderson Sports Centre, where they are open throughout the day.
