Over the years the School has grown but it remains small enough for staff to know the boys well and for parents to recognise the value this brings in terms of the relationships that are developed.
Uniquely, we have reduced the number of teachers at Key Stage 3 by using specialist teachers who are highly skilled in delivering a range of subjects. This additional time spent with students helps create deep and long lasting relationships. Teachers are very aware of individual student progress and pastoral needs.
The School has a well-deserved reputation for academic success, built up through the hard work of staff and students in partnership with parents who are dedicated to achieving the best they possibly can. We believe though, that education is about more than exam results, important as they are.
The School is also well known for a range of other activities. Sports feature strongly. Music, Art and Drama offer a wealth of opportunities to participate in concerts and productions and we have recently adopted the Arts Award for all lower school students.
We hope that you will choose Gravesend Grammar School and that you will leave us as a successful person with a range of interests, good memories and good friends.
