Teacher Training

Gravesend Grammar School has decades of experience working with local experts to train the next generation of teachers.

We give the best graduates and career changers the opportunity to transform lives through education. The school prides itself on training teachers that are skilled and professional to ensure students across Gravesham and beyond are taught well now and in the future.  We offer places on school-based and university-based routes into teaching.  You will be supported throughout your training programme, with experience of quality first teaching from the first day you step into school.  We also have a dedicated in-school team with a proven track record of success to support you through your first year of teaching; as well as tutors, mentors and education experts from local SCITTs and universities to ensure you are given the guidance, support and advice you need. You could either earn a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), as well as the option of 60 credits towards a Master’s degree at the end of your first training year, before potentially embarking on a highly supportive and tailored Early Career Framework (ECT) in years 2 and 3. Please contact the school for more details of coming to train to teach with us.
